EUDDplus – European Drivers Desk Advanced Concept Implementation

Welcome to the official website of the EUDDplus project.

Aim of the project is to start from the results of the previous European projects EUDD (European Driver Desk) and MODTRAIN/EUCAB and to go on in the development of a harmonised and standardised driver desk for locomotives in Europe, so as to pave the way for reducing the barriers for cross-boarder traffic.

The ALSTOM-locomotive PRIMA EL II will be used as EUDDplus test platform.

The EUDDplus project started on July 1st, 2006.

A kick-off meeting was held in Munich, Germany, on August 9th, 2006, with participation of all partners and the EC representative for DG Research Mr. William Bird.

The EUDDplus project duration takes 43 months and will be finalised on January 31st, 2010.
